Gorrie Elementary is one of a small number of elementary schools within the Hillsborough County School
District to offer violin instruction and it is funded entirely by Foundation donations. All Kindergarten and First
Grade Gorrie students participate in violin instruction as part of the curriculum under the direction of
Timothy Dow. For this valuable program to continue at Gorrie, we ask all parents to consider making a tax-
deductible donation per student participating in Gorrie Strings. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated!
